MEETING  VENUE

The details of the meeting follow:

Date: 1 and 2 August 2025

Social hour from 5:30-6:30 PM on Friday 1 August TBD

The Board meeting will begin at 9:00 AM on Saturday 2 August on the UC Davis campus in the Global Engagement offices of the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences in Rm 1107 Environmental Horticulture.

Dinner will be at the International House of Davis, time 6:00-8:00 PM.

AIRPORT OF ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE

UC Davis is located near two international airports:  Sacramento International Airport (SMF) and San Francisco International (SFO).  SMF is closer at a little over 20 miles and about 20-30 minute trip to Davis while SFO is about 80 miles and can take between 2-3 hours depending on time of day and traffic. Parking on campus is free on weekends and at the International House.

LODGING

There are a number of hotel properties in Davis that are within walking distance from campus.

THINGS TO DO: UC DAVIS AND CITY OF DAVIS AND NEARBY

The city of Davis is well-known for being the home to the US Bicycling Hall of Fame, and the University of California, Davis campus which has over 40,000 students and 5,000 faculty and staff.

For those who may wish to stay longer, several interesting places are within 2-3 hours drive:

Sacramento (20 minutes): Sacramento Old Town—shopping and a great train museum

Napa Valley: (1 hour): Wine country

San Francisco: (2 hours):  SF Giants baseball! Golden Gate Bridge, Fisherman’s Wharf, Lombard Street

Lake Tahoe: (2 hours): Tahoe National Forest, sight seeing

The Davis Climate

Our Mediterranean Summers can be quite hot and dry – it is not likely to rain in August.
